BIOGRAPHY

Vanesa Cabezas was born in Bogota, Colombia. She is currently based in New York and New Jersey.

In her work, she re-interprets and disseminates Traditional Latin American Pottery within her creations and classes. Vanesa believes in seeking to link the expansion of access and learning of ceramics with immigrant, black and brown communities, and is committed to making connections between resources, allies and communities, to continue expanding this knowledge to all.

She obtained her Master's Degree in Plastic and Visual Arts from the UDFJC in Bogota, Colombia. She has been a pottery instructor at Clayworks on Columbia, BKLYN CLAY, and Community Organizations in NYC and NJ.
